Massive Upcoming Update for The Exorcist: Legion VR on Meta Quest 3 on June 20th.
We are so thankful for our incredible horror fans and are excited to announce that Fun Train, in collab with our partner Venturion, will roll out a free update for The Exorcist: Legion VR, specifically enhanced for the Meta Quest 3 on Thursday, June 20th. This is, by far, the largest update to the game to date. In the next several days, prepare to immerse yourself in even more spine-chilling and eye popping experiences as we leverage the advanced capabilities of the Quest 3. Examples of What's Coming!
Enhanced Visual Effects: New cross light projection for the Crucifix, sparking particles for the Salt Spray, and dynamic lighting for Bee's Oil, enriching the visual depth and realism.
Seamless Gameplay: Game areas, rooms, etc now seamlessly connect with one another without the need for loads as previously required.
Dynamic Shadows: Dynamic shadows and multiple light sources now closer represent the quality seen on PC and console versions of the game. Of particular note, candles now can be lit in the Tomb to allow players to mark their progression thru the labyrinth.
Improved Audio: New footsteps sounds and an enriched audio bed deepen the immersive experience, making every step and ambient noise more intense and realistic.
Updated Character Models and Animations:
Lucie features a newly designed model with enhanced animations during her encounters, increasing realism.
Demons Pazuzu, Baal, Abyzou and Ronove: Newly updated models with richer details, amplifying the terror and realism in their appearances. New moments in Ep 3 (Skin Deep) that we will let you discover.
Refined player hand animations.
Many other surprises.
New Gameplay Mechanics: Exorcist tool kit quick actions have been implemented, as well as a new usage for the Salt Spray in exorcisms.
New Death Effects: Witness new transformations such as Ronove turning into a swarm of moths and Baal being consumed by molten hellfire, elevating the impact of these moments.
Interactive Environments: Upgraded effects for the mind asylum (ep 2) and mirror portal interactions (ep 3), further immersing players in a vividly surreal world.
Ritual Enhancements: Experience new vfx for some ritual scenes with new fire colors and haunting audio, amplifying the supernatural elements of the game.
These are just small sample of the 60+ updates we’ve made to leverage the Meta Quest 3’s capabilities to bring unparalleled immersion and terror.
This update will be free for all existing owners of The Exorcist: Legion VR on Meta Quest and will automatically become available upon release. Simply check for updates on in your headset or on your phone and prepare to face your fears like never before.
